Accounting

Your books, written as you trade.

Every sale, delivery, supplier payment and expense posts a balanced double entry at the moment it happens. Your accountant reviews, reconciles and closes the month instead of re-typing the shop’s day into a separate system.

The general ledger

Real double-entry accounting, not a sales summary

Chart of accounts

Standard control accounts with your own sub-accounts beneath them, so the structure is sound and the detail is yours.

Journals with approval

Manual journals, transfers and opening balances. Staff submit, an accountant approves, and nobody approves their own entry.

Bank reconciliation

Upload your bank statement, let clear matches pair themselves, and book what is left in one step.

Month-end close

Close a month and nothing can be posted into it again. A checklist shows what to review first.

Budgets

Set budgets and compare them with actual profit and loss.

Fixed assets

Register assets and depreciate them nightly by straight line or reducing balance, with disposal and gain or loss.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Is Stockwaka real double-entry accounting?

Yes. Every sale, purchase, payment and expense posts balanced debits and credits to a chart of accounts, and you get a trial balance, balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow from the same ledger.

Can my accountant use Stockwaka?

Yes. Add them with the Accountant role. They can review and approve journals, reconcile the bank, close months and read every report.

Can entries be changed after they are posted?

No. A posted entry is voided on the record and replaced, and closed months refuse new postings, so the audit trail stays complete.

Do I still need separate accounting software?

For trading businesses, Stockwaka covers the ledger, reconciliation, tax schedules and financial statements from the same records as your stock and sales.
